Senior Development Manager

Position Summary: Lovett Industrial is seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Development Manager to join our Houston, TX, office team. This role will work across multiple Texas markets. The ideal candidate will have a civil engineering background with a comprehensive understanding of complex large acreage land acquisitions, industrial design, entitlements, and permitting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with management and the oversight of multiple land pursuits and developments across Texas markets.
• Perform due diligence on potential development sites, including feasibility studies and risk assessments.
• Assist with management of consultants from due diligence through entitlements, design coordination, and permitting.
• Creation, management, tracking, and analysis of project schedules, milestones, deliverables, and budgets.
• Coordinate with internal departments (marketing, legal, accounting, finance, and construction) to ensure all stakeholders are properly informed and integrated with the project delivery, milestones, and deliverables.
• Coordinate closely with the construction team to ensure smooth project execution from inception to completion.
• Engage with clients and stakeholders, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring client satisfaction.
• Navigate the entitlement process, securing necessary permits and approvals for development projects.
• Travel to project sites in Texas as needed.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• 10-15 years of experience in commercial real estate development, with a strong emphasis on industrial projects.
• Solid understanding of the entitlement process and experience in due diligence.
• Experience in Texas markets is required.
• Proven ability to manage large-scale projects and work effectively through incentives.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-focused approach.
• Ability to travel as required.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
