Attorney / Corporate Counsel

Lovett Industrial is currently looking for an in-house Counsel to support it’s legal department in the Houston office. A position description follows below.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Draft purchase and sale agreements for acquisitions and dispositions in the industrial real estate space.
- Prepare and negotiate joint venture agreements and related ancillary documentation.
- Interact with teams on the opposing side of a deal (sellers/buyers, JV partners, advisers, etc.) and facilitate the closing of a transaction from start to finish.
- Handle domestic transactions on both the buy and sell side, including private equity transactions.
- Coordinate internal and external resources in the various competence areas needed to consummate industrial real estate acquisitions and dispositions, including managing and coordinating with outside counsel.
- Advise and assist a development team with internal transaction documentation, including confidentiality agreements, commission agreements and generals service related contracts.
- Conduct independent research and regularly communicate with brokerage firms and other research outlets to monitor and analyze market trends and report to team on relevant developments.

Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree and Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school
- Licensed to practice in the State of Texas 3+ years of relevant corporate, mergers, acquisitions and/or transactional experience with
a top Texas law firm or national law firm - Industrial/Commercial real estate development experience a plus
